Boys Day Out provides boy's groups to middle school youth: BDO Circles, BDO Groups, and Schools Out Challenge.
Boys Circles is an 8 week group that provides youth with various positive male role models who come to discuss school, community, and social issues. We typically host two circles at each school.
Boys Group is a 6 week program geared toward providing support to middle school boys who struggle with making choices that lead to a successful future. We target boys who are known to have engaged in behaviors that might lead to contact with the criminal justice system.
School's Out Challenge In collaboration with the Schenectady City School District, Schenectady Probation, and funded by The Schenectady Foundation, BDO has created a summer challenge for SCSD middle school males who could benefit from academic support, and are transitioning to 9th grade. Through 4 sessions, youth will participate in hands-on-community engagement, interactive guest panels, academic tutoring, and field trips to Union College, Schenectady High School, and Schenectady Aerospace Museum.
